Chrysler LLC has unveiled the new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee which will launch late next year. The new SUV vows to deliver 19 percent better fuel economy than the current generation of Jeeps. The struggling automaker is hoping to revive consumer confidence by offering fuel economy incentives on new automobiles.

"The new 2011 version is a total redesign. I was shocked. I've owned several Jeep Grand Cherokees over the years, but this one has them all beat," said Bill Lewis, a spectator at the New York Auto Show.

The roomy Jeep Grand Cherokee has a very attractive interior and exterior. The automobile is truly built for luxury but maintains a good fuel economy record. The new clean look made some consumers feel that it wasn't made for off road driving.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is more sophisticated.

While the SUV is made to offer consumers a comfortable ride, the new Grand Cherokee is capable of going off road like its predecessors. Chrysler has softened the new look and feel to attract the middle and upper class. Overall, it is probably the best looking Jeep made thus far with all the whistles and bells found in traditional luxury cars.

The new Chrysler Jeep appears to be competing with the new Cadillac SRX and the new Lexus RX. The design is similar to some of the older BMW models, but less box-style. It has a smooth and curvy exterior which unveils some newer designs to handle airflow. The new SUV also adopts newer technologies for air suspension.

Additional SUV specifications and the introduction of the Quadra Life air suspension.

The Jeep has an improved air suspension, known as Quadra Lift, that can elevate the Grand Cherokee to about 11.1 inches for off road terrain. It features a new 3.6-liter V6 motor which has 280 horsepower and 260 pound-feet torque. Don't let the luxury fool you, Chrysler still added some rebellion to this 2011 model.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Offers New Reclining Seats to Benefit Driver and Passengers

The fresh display of the new Grand Cherokee provides 4 inches of extra rear-seat knee and leg room. The extra room provides the second-row seats to recline and offer more comfort. While the new Chrysler Jeep offers several luxury items, you can tell that the automaker put a lot of ideas into detail, which benefits both the driver and passengers.
