Facebook ending March 15 closing hoax soars on Internet. Facebook is not ending on March 15, 2011, even though there are fake reports. The fake news story also said that all profiles and photos will be removed.

Fans of Facebook don’t have to worry about their favorite Web site ending on March 15. The rumor was started by a fake Internet news site (World Weekly News) that published a scandalous story. The site even created a press conference that involved founder Mark Zuckerberg.

“Facebook has gotten out of control and stress management this company has ruined my life. I have to stop all the madness,” the new site wrote. “I personally do not think it’s a great thing.” Hundreds of thousands of people believed this story to be true and shared it on the social networking site.

The story is fake and it led a viral rumor on the Internet. Facebook has been a target a several hoaxes since 2004. The company is worth $50 billion and isn’t going anywhere.

The date March 15 could also mean that the fake news site is planning another hoax before April 1 (Fools Day).
