How much cash do people carry? 2010 poll unveils some interesting numbers on why people don't carry money.

How much cash do people carry 2010. A latest 2010 poll unveils some interesting statistics on how much cash to carry around. Most people carry between $50 to $100, plus their debit cards, and it shows you just how much cash is still around.

At one time, long before debit cards, people carried cash. There were no ATMs or PIN numbers, if you can believe that (for our young generation readers). Most people carried just enough money to pay for their daily needs, such as minor expenditure, gas, and lunch.

In 2010, it's no different, and either people don't have any money in the bank, or perhaps they're saving it. There are people who feel more secure by not carrying cash. Others don't see the need if they have an ATM or debit card.

There are people who don't carry cash at all because they will spend it. It doesn't always work because if you want something, you still use the ATM or debit card anyway. Some people carry cash to save money because they leave their cards at home.

The younger generation carries between $20 to $40 in cash, according to the latest poll. Seniors hardly carry any cash at all, which is why you see them writing checks in the express lane at the local store. The only way you can save money is to write a monthly budget, the old-fashion way, with a pencil and paper. Don't use your notepad on your mobile phone (grin).
