Bachelorette Trista Sutter, Ryan To Renew Vows

December 3, 2021

Bachelorette stars Trista Sutter and her husband Ryan will do their vows all over again, ten years after they first walked down the aisle on TV. The Bachelorette couple are inviting their fans to the event, which will air on January 19, 2014.

The couple made the announcement to Robin Roberts during her Good Morning America appearance on Monday.

“It’s a prime time special,” said Trista, who noted it’s part of “Juanuary,” a month-long celebration for next season’s Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis.

The renewal will also take place one week before Sean Lowe ties the knot with Catherine Giudici.

Also on the January 19 special there will be catch-up sessions with other former Bachelors.

Jason and Molly Mesnick, who recently welcomed their first child, will be on hand as well as JP and Ashley Rosebuam, who got married last year, and new couple Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried, who became engaged this summer and will reportedly wed next summer.

The mother of two was on the GMA to promote her new book Happily Ever After.

When asked why she and Ryan worked but so many other Bachelor couples split she said, “I think if you compare The Bachelor and Bachelorette to real world, it’s probably not that different in that’s how many relationships do you go through before you find the one that you want to spend the rest of your life with.”

Trista said they just had all the components - trust, honesty, respect, love, commitment, friendship, and humor to make their relationship work.

The 41-year-old pointed out that the couple, who live in Colorado with their two children, son Max, aged six, and daughter Blakesley, aged four, have really embraced the Colorado lifestyle, which means staying active.

“Ryan’s still a firefighter at the Vail Fire Department and I’ve been busy with this little [book] project for the past couple of years,” she added. “But really, I’m a stay-at-home and work mom. Really, life just revolves around the kids right now.”

Trista said her book is not an autobiography, but is instead just a collection of stories taken from her life and other peoples’ lives.
