Beyonce, Jay-Z skip wedding for Hamptons vacation, leaving Kanye West and Kim Kardashian to marry in Italy. Most fans see this as a snub towards the wedding, but it was apparent that this couple had other plans.

Though earlier reports indicated that Kanye’s best friend and his wife would be flying in for the occasion, it would appear they begged off, opting instead for a more low-key Memorial Day weekend in The Hamptons.

On May 24, The Inquisitr reported that “Beyoncé and Jay-Z may have chosen to skip the wedding for the Hamptons because of another wedding guest. Fashion designer Rachel Roy might have been the driving force between the fight between Jay-Z and Solange Knowles.” Now that sounds interesting.

Beyonce recently posted a sleepy-looking no-makeup selfie on Instagram. The “Partition” singer sported long braided extensions, which definitely seem more appropriate for a weekend at the beach than a black tie wedding in Tuscany.

Does this mean Jay Z and Beyonce are on the outs? Not necessarily. Their family probably need a break from the press after all the buzz surrounding Elevatorgate these last two weeks. Considering everybody who owns a camera is in Europe trying to catch pics of newlyweds Kim and Kanye, it’s probably safe to assume they are enjoying a paparazzi-free long weekend.

It was thought Jay Z would be the best man at the wedding, as the two rappers have grown very close and often collaborate on musical ventures together.
But in avoiding the wedding, Jay Z and Beyonce also swerved a potentially awkward run in with Rachel Roy.

Beyonce and Solange had “words” with Rachel at the Met Ball after party in NYC, and sources say that it all stemmed from Rachel’s “too close relationship with Jay Z.”
