Boy George and Prince had a thing, so it was claimed, which was a bombshell during a taping on the British version of “The Voice.” But a spokesperson for the show quickly went on “damage control” and said it was only a joke, according to People.

Boy George created two problems while serving as a judge on the reality TV show. First, he mentioned that he slept with Prince, that caused producers to scramble for a fix, then the live audience reacted so wildly that filming had to be shut down temporarily until everyone calmed down.

Boy George Prince slept together, Culture Club singer claims

The Culture Club crooner, 54, was sitting with fellow judges Will.i.am, Ricky Wilson of the Kaiser Chiefs, and singer Paloma Faith. They were discussing other musicians with whom they’d collaborated.

The Boy George and Prince story made headlines within an hour after he reportedly said, “I have duetted with some of the greatest soul singers in history, including Luther Vandross and Smokey Robinson.” But then Paloma replied, “Well OK, if we’re throwing big soul names out there, I’ve performed with Prince.”

However, Boy George decided to throw it out there. The audience was didn’t expect him to say, “Forget that, darling, I’ve slept with Prince.”

The production crew was stunned and the audience went absolutely wild. The other judges, especially Will.i.am, loved it and repeatedly high-fived the entertainer.

“Production staff had to come up on stage and speak to them,” the source reportedly said. “After that, Boy George started backtracking saying he hadn’t really slept with Prince and that in reality, he just had his poster on his wall. … But as far as the crowd were concerned, the cat was already out of the bag.”

The entire incident began as a conversation between George and fellow judge Paloma Faith about the most famous people they had worked with eventually took quite the turn.

The producers of the show were shocked because they were afraid of a possible lawsuit. They scrambled quickly to shutdown production until everything was calm. This was nothing more than damage control.

Boy George and Prince never slept together, so it seems, and it seems the Culture Club singer wanted to win the debate by assuming the two had sex. There’s a problem with this because most people believed it to be true, but there’s no response from the “Purple Rain” singer.
