Courteney Cox was the last to leave Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding that also hosted a party that went on most of the night. The actress didn’t depart the wedding until 3 a.m., according to People.

Cox, 51, was 1 of 70 close friends and family invited to the nuptials held at their Hollywood home on Wednesday. Courteney has been Jennifer’s good friend for more than 20 years, and was maid of honor.

“The last guest to leave was Courteney,” an insider said. “She left right after Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Kimmel. She left around 3am. At 2am they still had the music pretty loud.”

Courteney Cox might have been the last to leave, but this special occasion came as a shock to invited guests. They believed they were simply being invited to a party.

Other guests included Chelsea Handler, Jason Bateman, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi and Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski. The happy couple’s wedding rings were created by jeweller designer to the stars and Jennifer’s friend Jennifer Meyer, the wife of Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire.

Cox entertained guests by hiring Sia, who sang her hit Chandelier, as everyone dined on a lavish feast of chicken, fish, sausage, fettuccine carbonara with pork and mostaccioli pasta with red sauce.

“It was really, really good. The cake was delicious,” a source said. Wedding pictures showed the cake being carried into their swanky LA residence with two Muppet-like characters on top, and a pastor was pictured walking in carrying a bible.

Courteney knew about the wedding, but the other guests were told the celebration was a birthday bash for her Justin, who turns 44 next Monday. Cox was also one of the first people to know about the engagement.

Jennifer, 46, has been engaged to Justin Theroux since 2012, and they began dating in May 2011. The low-key wedding was described as being more like a “warm house party.”

“It was done completely on the sly. It was their closest friends and very simple and intimate. There were lots of laughs as well as tears and the mood was light,” another source said.

Cox helped friend and photographer Terry Richardson with some of the pictures throughout the celebration, while Jennifer’s friend Jennifer Mayer designed the pair’s wedding rings. Courteney was helping everyone in the house, making sure the wedding was perfect for Aniston’s important day.

The couple are believed to have headed to Bora Bora on honeymoon with a small group of friends.
