The David Arquette sober battle is back on again as he has admitted to drinking again.

According to The Inquisitr, David Arquette has fallen off the wagon. This new revelation comes as a shock after his girlfriend, Christina McLarty gave birth to the couple’s son, Charlie West. The actor has been battling alcoholism for years. He was sober for two years and four months after his sting in rehab.

David Arquette told RumorFix:

“I’m not sober … It’s hard, it’s hard. If you want to be sober and [enjoy] the nightlife, good luck. Go to a lot of meetings”

As the David Arquette sober battle continues, he does admit that having a newborn son can sometimes be difficult. In a new interview, the rehab vet reveals that he’s drinking again despite having a nearly four-month-old baby, son Charlie West, and a fiancée, Christina McLarty, at home.

The 42-year-old, who has a 10-year-old daughter, Coco, and the newborn, says he hasn’t been to the club too often:

“A baby takes so much attention, so much time and so much clarity.”

The actor last fell off the wagon in 2013 after he was spotted downing scotch and hitting up strip clubs in Richmond, VA, before admitting to Howard Stern that he was back to drinking and smoking pot. David Arquette’s sober problem has been going on for quite sometime.

Realizing the truth of the David Arquette sober battle, Courteney Cox talked her ex into rehab for alcohol abuse in January, 2011, after bashing his nose on the floor while trying to do the worm at a Hollywood club.

David Arquette recently got engaged to Christina McLarty, but now the bottle has overshadowed the happy news in some interviews. The actor was on Good Day New York Monday to pump his series, “Cleaners,” and said of his proposal, “I got down on one knee three times!”

But the conversation moved to a touchier topic.

David Arquette boasted to Rosanna Scotto about a nightclub called Bootsy Bellows that has crazy bottle service, but then he was asked about his “health.” Arquette defensively said that there’s a lot “more important things in the world than my sobriety.”

David Arquette first became known during the mid-1990s after starring in several Hollywood films, such as the Scream series, Wild Bill, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He has since had several television roles, such as Jason Ventress on ABC’s In Case of Emergency.

In addition to his acting career, David Arquette took a brief foray into professional wrestling in early 2000, competing for World Championship Wrestling (WCW). During his tenure (and primarily to promote his upcoming film Ready to Rumble), David Arquette became a one-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, an angle that has been cited by wrestling commentators as being pivotal to the degradation of the title and the demise of WCW.

David Arquette has been dating Entertainment Tonight correspondent Christina McLarty on/off since 2011.

The David Arquette sober truth was first realized in 2011 when Arquette first admitted his alcoholism to Oprah Winfrey in 2011, when he told her that then wife Courtney Cox and sister Patricia had confronted him with an intervention and he had sought treatment.
