Demi Lovato Honored By Mental Health Administration

Demi Lovato was honored with an award this week by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration. The “Made In The USA” singer recently changed her hair color to blonde, which illuminated the stage.

There’s no doubt that the “American Idol” judge has come a long ways and is at a point in her life where she is happy.

Lovato attended the 2013 National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day in Washington, D.C., and even shared her thoughts on the honor via Twitter.

“Honored to receive an award from @Sebelius + appear w/5 brave ppl sharing their resilience stories,” she wrote.

Lovato also spoke to the attendees about her personal struggles with addiction, and proudly expressed herself as a “survivor of mental health.”

Lovato has also quieted her critics and is hoping to inspire others by sharing her own experiences to live their best life.

It is truly another reason that credits Lovato’s popularity in recent years and is living up to being the role model that so many teenagers need.
