Demi Lovato reaches settlement in tour dancer incident. Demi Lovato reaches a satisfactory settlement with the person who struck her. The incident happened on a tour bus with the Jonas Brothers.
Lovato entered treatment in November to seek emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time, according to her rep.
"There is a settlement and all of the issues have been amicably and completely resolved," Donald Karpel, who represents Alex "Shorty" Welch, said in a statement.
Welch is moving on, "I'm happy. We came to an agreement and I'm ready to move on," she told People magazine, which was first to report the news on Christmas Eve. "I'm ready to start working again," she said.
The full terms of the settlement were not disclosed, however, according to People, Welch said that the agreement did, in fact, call for a portion of the settlement to be donated to charity. "That's important," she said.
"Alex is seeking a settlement, an apology from Demi and a donation made to a charity of her choice," Karpel said in a statement.
