Disney Ads Annie Leibovitz. A new batch of Disney theme park celebrity advertisements from photographer Annie Leibovitz star model-actress Olivia Wilde, TV star Alec Baldwin, singer-actress Queen Latifah as well as Oscar-winners Jeff Bridges and Penelope Cruz. All the actors play Disney characters.
In the latest advertising campaign, Olivia Wilde is the Evil Queen from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Alec Baldwin is the spirit of the magic mirror. Penelope Cruz and Jeff Bridges appear as Belle and the transformed prince from “Beauty and the Beast.” Queen Latifah shows up as the wicked Ursula from “The Little Mermaid.”
They join Rachel Weisz as Snow White, Roger Federer as King Arthur, Julie Andrews as the Blue Fairy from “Pinocchio,” Mikhail Baryshnikov as Peter Pan, Gisele Bündchen as Wendy Darling and Tina Fey as Tinker Bell, and Jessica Biel as Pocahontas. In addition, Jennifer Lopez will appear as Jasmine from “Aladdin,” Julianne Moore as Ariel from “The Little Mermaid,” Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella, Beyoncé as Alice in Wonderland and David Beckham as Prince Phillip from “Sleeping Beauty,” who all previously posed for Leibovitz in Disney theme park ads.
The ads typically show up on freeway billboards and in glossy magazines. These magazines include: InStyle, O – the Oprah magazine, People en Espa?ol and Essence. Disney is still running its “I’m going to Disney World!” and “I’m going to Disneyland!” advertising slogans. It has been used in a series of television commercials by The Walt Disney Company that began airing in 1987. This year Disney went with the Green Bay Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Of course, the ad ran post Super Bowl XLV in which Green Bay dominated.
