Doritos Dog Super Bowl Commercial - One of the top rated Super Bowl commercials involving a dog, was done by a fan and only cost $20 to make.

Doritos ran its ‘Crash the Super Bowl’ video contest again this year where fans have a chance at winning cash prizes and tickets to the Super Bowl for the most creative ads they can make.

Out of the five finalist they all received $25,000 and the Super Bowl tickets, however Ad Meter determined the ‘Man’s Best Friend’ by Jonathan Friedman video the top Super Bowl ad out of them all.

For winning the top Super Bowl ad spot Friedman received an extra $1 million bonus and all it cost him was 20 bucks to create.

In the commercial a man working in his garden and see’s what appears to be a dog burying a cat collar then he sees a missing cat poster. The dog gives the man a bag of Doritos with a note saying he saw nothing. Later the man is seen sitting in his kitchen eating the chips with his wife calling out if he had seen the missing cat, there is then a shot of the dog at the door with another bag of Doritos, when the man replies “nope.”

Frito Lays said that Friedman used $20 to buy a bag of Doritos, a cat collar, and dog treats. He also borrowed a neighbor’s Great Dane for the commercial.

As of Monday morning the commercial had over 435,000 views on YouTube.
