Ginnifer Goodwin and fiance Joey Kern have called it quits and confirmed that their engagement is off after breaking up two weeks ago.
Goodwin and Kern were part of many celebrities that either got engaged or married during the Christmas holidays. Some of the the names include Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris, Jason Mraz and Tristan Prettyman, Vivica A. Fox and Omar “Slimm” White, Sherri Shepherd and Lamar “Sal” Sally, Bret Michaels and Kristi Gibson, and Shania Twain and Frederic Thiebaud.
A source told People that the couple “broke up a few weeks ago.” The actress was part of the HBO series “Big Love” that was canceled after five seasons. She was recently on the big screen in “Something Borrowed.”
Kern dated Goodwin for two years before he proposed in December. The couple were planning a fall 2011 wedding. The source added that they plan to remain friends.
Kern’s acting credits include the 2003 movies “Cabin Fever” and “Grind.” Goodwin was in the film “He’s Just Not That Into You.” She’ll appear next in the fairytale drama series “Once Upon a Time,” which was picked up by ABC for the fall season.
