Goldie Hawn attempts to brush off being drunk by stating she is jet lag.

Reports by the British press, which hasn’t always been the most reliable or respected, of Goldie Hawn spending a night out partying and becoming very intoxicated before flying to Los Angeles to attend a charity event are being refuted by the 66-year-old actresses camp.

Last week, the British Press reported that Hawn was partying at the Annabel’s Members Club in London until 4:30 a.m. and upon leaving could not stand and needed help getting into a car.

However, according to a source attending the party with Hawn, those reports are false and that Hawn was sober.

“There are paparazzi pictures of her looking great and fab while walking out of the party,” the source told RumorFix.com. “She was so nice when she left the party saying hello and being polite to the photographers, and was not acting intoxicated at all.”

But the press ran with some off canter moments caught that could make someone believe otherwise. The source says those photos do not depict reality.

“As you know the Brit paps are a little unscrupulous and pushy and there were a ton of them,” explained the source. “They were pushing and blinding everyone with their flash. Goldie was getting into the back seat of the car and when entering she was pushed, and she was off balance and fell into the car.”

Reportedly, after just a few hours of sleep, Hawn looked refreshed as she caught a flight to L.A. where she then attended an event of The Hawn Foundation.

“It is sad the way the British press does this,” the source added. “How they push an older woman into a car and then take pictures and say she is drunk.”
