Honey Boo Boo Selling Cookies At Milledgeville Mall in Georgia

Honey Boo Boo wants you to buy her Girl Scout cookies! Alana Thompson, the reality star on TLC, started a Facebook ad to help a friend sell the snacks but has now established a table inside the Milledgeville Mall in Georgia.

The 7-year-old was photographed holding a handmade sign urging shoppers to purchase the snacks for $3.50 a box.

Thompson had previously posted a banner on her Facebook page advertising Girl Scout cookies. It listed pricing and contact info for her 700,000-plus fans on the site.

“What we felt was inappropriate is that it appeared that Honey Boo Boo herself was selling the cookies, and she’s not a Girl Scout,” Debbie Caballero, a marketing and communications officer for the Girls Scouts of Historic Georgia, told ABC News Radio last week.

However, Honey Boo Boo’s mom, June Shannon, a.k.a. “Mama June,” told E! News, “We have helped our family friend sell Girl Scout Cookies for the past three years. While Alana is not an official Girl Scout, we have followed all rules sent to us by the local council.”

The Thompsons originally gained fame when they appeared on TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras, which follows the lives of child beauty pageant contestants and their families.

Now that they have their own show, the family is paid a salary of $50,000 per episode, and Alana Thompson’s own net worth is $300,000, which means plenty of money for college.
