Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June Gets Wedding

Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June Shannon married her boyfriend, Sugar Bear, Sunday, but the couple won’t confirm if it was an actual wedding, or if it was just a recommitment to their relationship.

The couple who met nine years ago in an online chat room exchanged vows, had a cake and celebrated with friends and family.

The party, which took place in their Georgia backyard celebrated the love of Mama June, 33 - whose real name is June Shannon - and Mike Thompson, 41.

“The day was very special mostly because my girls were able to take part in it,” June told People about her 7-year-old Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and big sisters Pumpkin, Chickadee and Chubbs being present.

“I felt like it was important them to see this moment and celebrate my love for Sugar Bear,” she added.

The vows were followed by a family barbecue and an old-fashioned food fight afterwards.

“My sister baked the cake and we spent most of the money on barbecue,” June continued. “We stayed true to our roots and made the focus on the family and my commitment to Sugar Bear. You can definitely plan an event on a budget!”

Cameras were reportedly rolling during the entire event, and it’s a lucky guess that the nuptials will likely be shown on their TLC reality show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”

The exclusive ceremonies invite warned guests who “no cellphones, cameras, or outside video taping will be allowed.”

The hired staff was reportedly advised to wear full redneck attire in either hot pink or camouflage clothing.

Regardless of whether or not this was an actual wedding; Mama June is secure in her love with Sugar Bear and knows that he is the man of her dreams.

“Never settle for a man who doesn’t treat you right,” she advised. “If a guy doesn’t love everything about you, move on! There are plenty of other fish in the sea.”

The words from Honey Boo Boo’s mom are also shared with her daughters “because I always want them to be themselves and surround themselves with people who love them for them” so that one day they might have a wedding of their own.
