Jay-Z invests in chicken joint with 'Buffalo Boss' franchise. Jay-Z adds to his portfolio and invests in chicken joint with Buffalo Boss. The rap mogul has partnered with his mother Gloria Carter and sister Andrea.

Chicken can be bought anywhere in Brooklyn, but Jay-Z has chosen "Buffalo Boss" because it is partially owned by his cousin Jamar White. The restaurant is located on Fulton Street in the NYC borough. It prides itself on providing customers with 100 percent organic chicken with no trans-fat or hormones.

Restaurants are part of Jay-Z's growing investment portfolio. The establishment has already made a positive impact on the local community with a special offer to high achieving students at a middle school. It provides the incentive of free food in exchange for good grades.

The rapper owns a stake in West Village gastro pub The Spotted Pig, which is also partially owned by renowned chef Mario Batali. He also helped launch the successful sports bar chain, the 40/40 Club, in 2003, with current locations in midtown Manhattan and Atlantic City. Buffalo Bill is the latest addition to Jay-Z's growing investment in the restaurant industry.
