John Luke Robertson’s honeymoon is off to a good start after wife Mary Kate shared some photos from their trip in Australia. The trip has been an absolutely dream for the couple after they tied the knot last month, according to Daily Mail.
Robertson, 19, is seen driving a boat as the newlyweds took the day to snorkel and swim near the beach. John also took a photo of Mary reading a book before she fell asleep in a chair.
“These past two weeks were an absolute dream! but happy to be heading back to louisiana,” Mary Kate captioned a selfie of her kissing her husband’s cheek above crystal-clear waters Monday. The reality stars tied the knot June 27 after he popped the question in October.
John Luke Robertson’s honeymoon took them to a pool of stingrays and sharks. But it was the clear blue water in the pics where Mary mentioned as the two enjoyed jet skiing and other water sports.
“I had an amazing time,” he said after the nuptials. Added Mary, “It was one of the best days of my life! It was everything I hoped it would be and more.”
Robertson said that he was excited to be married to his best friend. John also said that his parents married when they were very young, and they have always been an example of what could happen to him in marriage.
Their trip capped off an exciting month after they shared their nuptials in front of 800 guests. The wedding reception also featured a surprise mariachi band that performed before the ceremony, and vows officiated by Willie.
John met Mary at a Christian summer camp four years ago. Robertson said it was one of the best days of his life, but it was up to his bride on what kind of wedding they would have.
“[Mary Kate] wanted it real fun, real casual, and she wanted flowers to be a big central point of it all,” wedding planner Bethany Sigrest said. It looks like their honeymoon matched that philosophy, as well.
“I had an amazing time!” The Duck Dynasty star said of his big day. “It was everything I hoped it would be and more.”
Robertson and Kate seemed to be mindful of their diet during their honeymoon after posting a photo of a platter of fruits paired with some milk and cereal. The two felt extremely grateful to have seen and experienced the beauty of the world, and they thanked God for it.
“Honeymoon part 2, day 5. Talks about our awesome Creator over breakfast….God continues to just completely amaze me by His goodness and by not only the way He creates beautiful things, but how He also creates us to see things as beautiful!” she wrote beside the photo.
John Luke Robertson’s honeymoon is a trip of a lifetime, a romantic two-week getaway to Australia. It’s only a matter of time before they begin missing Louisiana.
