Kaley Cuoco, who recently split from her husband of less than two years, responded to rumors that she had a secret affair with Big Bang Theory co-star. Cuoco and Galecki had a relationship for about two years that lasted until December 2009, according to E Online.
Cuoco, 29, recently split from tennis player Ryan Sweeting in September. Kaley is now at the center of new speculations that she rekindled her relationship with Johnny Galecki, 40, her onscreen husband on the Big Bang Theory.
The two actors recently took to Instagram to clarify that although they were married on the show, they weren’t dating in real life. The star insists that she’s not a home wrecker.
Kaley Cuoco posted an Instagram of the two with the caption, “So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here. Me and @sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds - Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!!!” Galecki posted a similar photo on Instagram, with the caption, “No scandals/home wreckers/pregnancies here, y’all. Just profound friendship.”
She announced her divorce from professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting in September after 21 months of marriage. They tied the knot on December 31, 2013, after dating for just six months.
Sweeting, who turned pro in 2007, won his first and only title in 2011, when he beat Kei Nishikori of Japan at the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships in Houston.
Kaley Cuoco allegedly ended their romance after he became “addicted to painkillers.” Her co-star Mayim Bialik recently insisted she is doing well despite the drama.
She said: “Kaley’s amazing. She has amazing friends, she has amazing family. We love her to pieces and we give her as much joy and laughs as we give everybody who sees the stuff that we do but she gets to experience it off camera.”
But why do fans believe these two are dating secretly?
Kaley Cuoco dated Johnny Galecki for two years before their break-up, but they have remained good friends. Just days before her split announcement, she insisted her husband and her ex had become pals.
“We dated, like, five years ago so I think we’ve both moved on… Johnny is actually one of my best friends. It’s a situation that ended well… Ryan loves him, Johnny loves (Ryan), it’s been a long time, so it’s great. I got lucky,” Kaley Cuoco said.
This is not the first time the actress has taken to Instagram to let the haters know what’s up with her relationships. In May, she posted an Instagram photo of then-husband Ryan to address rumors.
What we know now is: Instagram is an important form of self-expression for Kaley Cuoco to tell fans that she and Johnny Galecki are just the best of buds.
As for the reports that started this whole thing about Kaley Cuoco?
“Kaley has a special bond with Johnny, an intensity she never had with Ryan,” an insider said. The star’s close relationship with Johnny was what partly fueled her marriage problems, but as the duo has reinstated, they’re just friends! Thank god for the Big Bang Theory — any Kaley/Johnny shippers can see their characters married onscreen, if not in reality.
Kaley Cuoco said she laughed at reports that she was involved in a secret fling. When she’s not on the Big Bang Theory, she’s on the Priceline.com commercials as the daughter of William Shatner’s character.
