Katie Holmes Forgets Lines With Co-Star On ‘Dead Accounts’ Premiere

Katie Holmes appeared on the “Late Show With David Letterman” last week and said she never forgets her lines on Broadway, but she admitted that it actually happened earlier this month.

Sitting on the same couch as her ex, Tom Cruise, did just three days prior, she told Letterman about the mishap on Broadway.

“A couple of weeks ago I had the moment that I’ve been dreading,” Holmes said. “Which was, I have this kind of big speech in the second act and it’s pretty important because it kind of goes along with the theme of the show. And I said the first line, and I’m looking at (co-star) Judy Greer and I’m supposed to be angry with her. And then the second line I didn’t remember. And I didn’t remember the third one. And I just looked at her …”

But Holmes managed to save the moment and explained how she ad-libbed her way through the act. “Obviously, I knew what the point of (the speech) was so I made my way there,” she said. “Eventually you got back on track, right?” asked Letterman. “How long did this misstep last?” “It felt like a good hour,” she responded.

Meanwhile, ex-husband Tom Cruise will be with their six year old daughter Suri for Christmas this year, the actor has confirmed. Cruise has revealed that he plans to spend the holidays with her along with his two older children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman; Connor, 17, and Bella, 20.

Holmes appeared on Letterman to promote her play “Dead Accounts” on Broadway.
