Katy Perry To Be In Sims Games

Katy Perry Sims - Moving on from her relationship to Russell Brand, singer Katy Perry has inked a deal to be in a video game, EA’s ‘The Sims.’

According to a statement released by EA, aside from multiple future versions of the game in the series to feature, “special Katy Perry themed in-game content and virtual goods,” Perry will also be involved in advertising and marketing campaigns.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with Katy and bring her distinctive talents, style and personality to the franchise’s global fan base,” Steve Schnur, worldwide executive of music for EA, said in a statement. “No performer could better represent the humor and fun of The Sims brand.”

Schnur also pointed out that Perry has been a big fan of the The Sims games for years.

Previously Katy rerecorded a version of her ‘Hot and Cold’ hit for the ‘The Sims 2′ game in ‘Simlish,’ the in game language.

Katy herself said in a statement, “I love how you’re able to play out different stories through your Sims characters-giving them different careers and watching them succeed.”

The first game to feature the new Perry themed goods and character will be ‘The Sims 3: Showtime’ which set to be released in March.

Perry added, “I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I’m a Sim!”
