Ke$ha finally leaves a rehab facility that treated her with an eating disorder on Mar. 6. The singer is back and feeling better than ever since the rehab, she wrote on Twitter, after posting a photo of herself looking out the window of an airplane.

“Happy to be back! Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music. I can’t thank my fans enough for all the love & support u have given me?” Ke$ha wrote on Twitter.

Ke$ha, 27, has worked hard to keep in touch with her fans throughout the whole rehab process.

At the end of January, her account tweeted “This is Kesha’s friend. She asked me to tweet an update for her because she doesn’t have access to Twitter right now.” According to the friend, Ke$ha wanted to tell her fans “THANK YOU. SOOO MUCH. I’m overwhelmed to tears by all of the love, letters and support!! I’ll be back soon and better than ever.”

Singer Extended 30-day Rehab Stay

In February, Ke$ha extended her 30-day stay and postponed her spring tour to focus on getting “my health back on track.”

“All of your support has been so amazing. I couldn’t have done this without you all. I look forward to coming back stronger than ever on the next tour,” she told E! News in a statement.

The concert dates, which were scheduled for March and April, have not yet been rescheduled.

When Ke$ha sought treatment in January, the pop star told E! News in a statement:

“I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself but I’ve found it hard to practice.” Her mother, Pebe Sebert, later entered the same Chicago-area treatment facility to seek help for post-traumatic stress disorder. “When I took that experience, I needed it to live. It taught me a lot and it helped me a ton. I wish her the absolute best. She’s a really sweet girl and she’s going to be fine,” The singer added.

Ke$ha draws support:

  • Ke$ha’s pop peer Demi Lovato sought rehab for an eating disorder at Timberline Knolls in 2010.
  • Lovato wishes the singer the “absolute best and I think she is doing a really great thing for herself,” she said last February.
  • Lovato also said that it’s easy for people to forget about themselves in the entertainment business. “You just kind of throw yourself into work.”

Ke$sha’s return came as a surprise even to those close to her. One pal says they “really had no timeline” for her treatment. “I had no idea she would be out today,” the pal added.
