Lea Michele Matchmaker Credit Goes To Ryan Murphy

Lea Michele says that “Glee” show creator Ryan Murphy was to thank for playing matchmaker with co-star Cory Monteith, adding that it was only a matter of time before the two shared noticeable chemistry.

“I directed them in their first scene together and they had that sort of chemistry that you can’t fake, and I said, ‘Uh-oh,’” Murphy told E! Online. “So I did kind of know. I take credit.”

Michele, who started dating Monteith last year, acknowledged that Murphy had brought them together.

“Yes, I would definitely say he is my matchmaker for sure,” she said in a statement.

Their relationship wasn’t revealed to the press until Valentine’s Day 2012.

Michele is also recognized for her work in charity. In July 2012, she donated a signed hand print to Valspar Hands for Habitat which was then auctioned off at a charity event. Money raised from the auction benefits Habitat for Humanity’s disaster response programs.

The disaster response program provides immediate and long-term response and solutions to natural disasters such as the recent tornados in the Midwest and Southeast which damaged and destroyed the homes of thousands.
