Linda Cardellini Gives Birth To First Baby

Linda Cardellini, the actress who once played Lindsay Weir, on NBC’s short lived ‘Freaks and Geeks’ teen comedy drama between 1999 and 2000 has given birth to her first child with her boyfriend Steven Rodriguez.

After ‘Freaks and Geeks’ she later had a role as Samantha Taggart on NBC’s hospital drama, ‘ER,’ and also portrayed Velma in the live action ‘Scooby-Doo’ movies.

Her rep confirmed to Us Weekly that the 36-year-old actress gave birth to a daughter named Lilah-Rose, on February 29.

Linda and the baby are reportedly to be doing fine. However, after announcing her pregnancy last October, she told Access Hollywood in December that the first four months of her pregnancy were very difficult, but she is happy that she made it through.

“Morning sickness was terrible the first four months,” she said. “It was awful. I was kind of a monster!”

Cardellini added that after the initial sickness, everything was good, “Now I feel great, and it’s amazing, and I can feel kicking and it’s a totally unbelievable experience. It’s a little bit like ‘Alien’ in science fiction and then also it’s a crazy miracle.”
