Liz Hurley Shane Warne. Shane Warne planning to propose to Liz Hurley. Shane Warne is reportedly planning to propose to girlfriend Elizabeth “Liz” Hurley before Christmas this year.

The Australian cricket legend is set to ask the actress-and-model to marry him, just 10 months after they began dating. A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Liz and Shane have a really happy, fun and secure relationship. They are forever giggling. Shane absolutely adores her and is keen on making their relationship official.

“He plans on proposing before Christmas, with the couple having a low-key wedding late next year. Shane is romantic and a traditionalist, and will definitely get down on a bended knee to do the deed.”

Liz Hurley split from her first husband, textile heir Arun Nayar last December, and their divorce was finalized in the summer. She and Warne have since enjoyed a number of romantic breaks in his native Australia and India as well as flirting with each other on the Internet social networking site twitter.

Hurley, 46, has also introduced her nine-year-old son, Damian, to the sportsman’s three children, teenager Brooke, and her younger siblings Summer and Jackson, with his ex-wife Simone Callahan.

Shane Warne, 42, is a former Australian international cricketer widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the game. In 2000, he was selected by a panel of cricket experts as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Century, the only specialist bowler selected in the quintet and the only one still playing at the time. He is also a cricket commentator and a professional poker player.

He has three children - Brooke, Summer and Jackson with his ex-wife Simone Callahan. Liz Hurley has one son Damian Charles Hurley, 9.
