Megan Fox: Marilyn Monroe’s Life Was Like Lindsay Lohan

Megan Fox has been quiet ever since she gave birth to a baby boy last September, but she recently opened up about her past fascination for Marilyn Monroe and why she suddenly wanted to remove the tattoo of the blonde beauty from her arm.

“I started reading about her and realized that her life was incredibly difficult,” Fox told Esquire magazine. “It’s like when you visualize something for your future. I didn’t want to visualize something so negative.”

Fox did compare Monroe to Lindsay Lohan, stating that she “wasn’t powerful at the time. She was sort of like Lindsay. She was an actress who wasn’t reliable, who almost wasn’t insurable…. She had all the potential in the world, and it was squandered,” she continued. “I’m not interested in following in those footsteps.”

Fox says she now admires women like Ava Gardner, who “was a broad” who spoke her mind and “had power.” She also enjoys her private life, whenever possible, spending time with their new son Noah and husband Brian Austen Green.

But just when she was almost done with the interview, she explains why she’s running from all the glamor and fame, and even compares it to bullying.

“I don’t think people understand,” she said during the interview. “They all think we should shut the [expletive] up and stop complaining because you live in a big house or you drive a Bentley. So your life must be so great. What people don’t realize is that fame, whatever your worst experience in high school, when you were being bullied by those ten kids in high school, fame is that, but on a global scale, where you’re being bullied by millions of people constantly.”

Fox does go to church and says she has seen magical things happen, even people who are healed, but isn’t ready to “speak in tongues” just yet.

“I’d have to shut it off because I don’t know what that church would do if I started screaming out in tongues in the back,” she said. “You have to understand, there I feel safe,” Fox added.
