Salvia sales soar after Miley Cyrus herb video. The Miley Cyrus video has boosted measurable sales of the salvia divinorum herb. The Hannah Montana singer was smoking in a video during for her 18th birthday.

Cyrus is responsible for the recent boost in sales of the salvia herb, whether she knows it or not. Potential customers have been showing up at herb shops everywhere asking for the "the stuff Miley was smoking" in the video. Most people didn't know what the divinorum was called.

While Miley's experimentation is generating curiosity in the hallucinogen -- one smoke shop employee said, "Salvia is one of those things that you only try once because it is so intense." The herbal hallucinogenic is legal, but different states are now attempting to pass new legislation, making it illegal. For those that are also thinking about trying it, don't, it's just plain stupid.

"Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. Im so sad. There is much beyond my control right now," Miley's dad, country musician Billy Ray Cyrus, said in a statement.
