Russell Brand Deported Japan, Katy Perry Vents On Twitter

Japan doesn’t quite get Russell Brand or his comedy routine, so they deported the celebrity right out of the country. As usual, Katy Perry had something to say about it and she’s not happy. The jokes will probably land on late night TV tonight.

In the country to see wife Katy Perry perform, Brand was apparently not welcomed by authorities there, Perry tweeted early Sunday morning; according to her Twitter feed, she went from elation to being there to something less than that just a few hours later.

“I’M SO EXCITED! I’M IN MY FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD! #JAPAN!!! #CALIFORNIADREAMSTOUR!!!” she wrote just before midnight on the East Coast (or, around midday Sunday in Japan. Then, a series of messages about the ejection:

“So…my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so. sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place #tokyodreamscrushed”

She went on to say “It was for priors from over 10 years ago! #mamanothappy! #don’tmessw/mahman! #uwannaplaylet’sgo #don’ttakeawomansmanfromhershe’llgetshiasty!”

Perry continued, “…But of COURSE I [love] my Japanese fans & the show #MUSTGOON no matter the daily aftershocks or husband kidnappings! #it’snotrightbutit’sokay…#[email protected]! RT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

For his part, Brand seemed to be taking the event with his trademark good humor.
