Tierra LiCausi, “The Bachelor” contestant who couldn’t get a long with the other girls on television, is now engaged. Many fans considered her to be the villain of the season before she was sent packing before the rose ceremony.
However, the 24-year-old’s brother confirmed to Us Weekly that someone else has put a ring on it.
“Tierra got engaged in January. We’re ecstatic for her. She is so happy!” LiCausi’s older brother said. “They had been together for three years on-and-off. They had broken up in the summer [before the show].”
He would not reveal the identity of LiCausi’s new man but said he “and his family have a very lucrative business in Las Vegas.”
LiCausi’s tendency to be overly emotional had become a source of friction between her and her fellow competitors on “The Bachelor.”
In her final episode Monday, bachelor Sean Lowe and his six aspiring fiancés had traveled to romantic St. Croix in the U.S Virgin Islands to get to know each other better. There, on a private date with Lowe, LiCausi told him she believed he’d become distant.
AshLee Frazier, one of LiCausi’s rivals for Lowe’s affections, also had a date with him, and he asked her about the atmosphere in the house. She told him that LiCausi didn’t get along with the other women.
Later that evening, a crying LiCausi told Lowe about the argument with Frazier, and said the competition was becoming very hard on her emotions. She added that she had a big heart and was being hurt by the negativity from the other women.
That’s when Lowe shocked LiCausi with the news: Out of concern for her emotional well-being, he was sending her home immediately.
He walked her to the van that would take her away, and once inside, she broke down again.
“I can’t believe he did this to me! I just want to go home,” she said. “I hope the girls got what they wanted.”
The Bachelor season has been interesting so far.
