Tiffany Thorton abducted her kids from husband Christopher Carney, according to documents obtained from the LAPD. Tiffany had the help of Chris’ mother in the alleged abduction as she stays with family members.
The Disney star has recently shared photos of her children with her own parents as well as with Chris’ parents. The police documents also state that he believes his wife is suffering from postpartum depression. He also believes that Tiffany does not think he is religious enough, and that her devout faith could be what is causing her to stay away from him.
Tiffany has been posting numerous scriptures recently attached to photos of her children, and sources close to the “Sonny With A Chance” star told TMZ that Tiffany wants to keep her kids safe, and away from her husband. The source did not specify why.
“Mr. Carney’s claims are false and are being dealt with in the proper forum. The fact that Mr. Carney has chosen to contact the media to publicize these claims raises serious concerns for Ms. Thornton, who does not believe that Mr. Carney’s desire for media attention is in the best interest of the parties two young children,” Tiffany’s rep said in a statement.
Tiffany and Chris tied the knot in November 2012 after two years together, and her co-star, Demi, stood at the altar with the couple as a bridesmaid. In August 2012, Tiffany gave birth to their first child, Kenneth.
Chris’ mother Ruth, who is the mayor of Hot Springs, Arkansas, told TMZ that Chris had drinking problems and was admitted to a rehab facility to seek help. He, however, recently relapsed and “went crazy.” Ruth said she was with Tiffany and the children in Los Angeles when Chris got drunk.
It was then that Ruth took his wife and the babies to Tiffany’s parents in Texas. Ruth said that Chris knew about the trip because Tiffany talked to him via FaceTime.
Chris reportedly denied the story, saying that he was not an alcoholic and his mother just overreacted after seeing a can of beer in the fridge.
