Will Ferrell Thanksgiving Fire Erupts During Turkey Dinner

Will Ferrell almost had a tragedy on his hands this past Thanksgiving when a fire broke out in the garage of a family member’s home he was visiting for the holiday.

Apparently, while Ferrell was spending the holiday with his family in a Needham, Mass home, a fire was discovered by one of the children in the garage while they were eating their meal.

Firefighters and police were then called to the home by one of the relatives who had been there for Thanksgiving, and the fire was quickly put out with no major damage to the home and no injuries.

A cause for the fire was not given, and TMZ reports that when the fire fighters finished putting out the fire, he joked and took pictures with them.

Ferrell is married to Swedish actress Viveca Paulin, whom he met in 1995 at an acting class. They have three sons, Magnus Paulin Ferrell, born March 7, 2004, Mattias Paulin Ferrell, born December 30, 2006, and Axel Paulin Ferrell, born January 23, 2010, all of which were at the home when the fire broke out.

Ferrell first established himself in the mid 1990s as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, and has subsequently starred in the comedy films Old School, Elf, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Stranger than Fiction, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro, Step Brothers, and The Other Guys.

He is considered a member of the “Frat Pack,” a generation of leading Hollywood comic actors who emerged in the late 1990s and the 2000s, including Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Steve Carell, Vince Vaughn, and brothers Owen and Luke Wilson.
