Wonder Woman Pilot NBC - Flying again? Wonder Woman pilot has been picked up by NBC based on the DC Comics superheroinen. It looks like she will again fly to the small screen after all.

The order comes two weeks after networks, including NBC, initially passed on the project. According to Deadline, the Peacock was interested in Wonder Woman two weeks ago, but was forced to turn it down as NBC Universal's merger with Comcast was still in flux. The $13.8 billion deal was approved Tuesday, allowing new Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt to move forward with the pickup. Kelley said at last week's Television Critics Association winter previews that he was "optimistic" about an order and that NBC -- currently home to his new legal drama Harry's Law -- would be a "good home for it."

Kelley's reboot finds Wonder Woman, a.k.a. Diana Prince, juggling the life of a vigilante superhero and a corporate executive in Los Angeles. If ordered to series, it would be the second live-action series adaptation of the comic, following the 1970s series Wonder Woman, which starred Lynda Carter.

Lynda Carter: "I want Sandra Bullock to play Wonder Woman."

In addition to Wonder Woman, NBC also picked up Mann's World, an hour-long drama from Sex and the City's Michael Patrick King. It follows llan Mann, a celebrity hair stylist in glamorous Los Angeles.
