Famous People Who Have Forgiven Others

A list of famous people who have forgiven others during a time of grievances. Even though that today is International Forgiveness Day, it is still hard for some people to bury the hatchet. Even the famous and celebrity crowd had to ask to pardon their trespasses.

Jennifer Aniston was married to Brad Pitt. However, that all changed forever in 2005 when he met Angelina Jolie. The two worked on a movie together that would upset Aniston to this day.

Rais Bhuyian is a white supremacist who attacked convenient stores in 2001. He had every intention of killing “Arabs.” He shot one clerk, blinding him in his right eye, and not something that could be forgiven.

In 1984, Jennifer Thompson testified that then-22-year-old Ronald Cotton had sexually assaulted her, and he was sentenced to life in prison. In 1995, DNA test results proved he was wrongly accused. Cotton isn’t a famous person, but can you see him forgiving Thompson?

During a 2006 stand-up comedy act, former sitcom star Michael Richards shouted a string of racial slurs at two heckling audience members. The event made headlines, and Richards later issued a public apology. He stated that he was only trying to make a joke out of hecklers, but it is still something to do this day that has gone unforgiven.

At age 3, Kai Leigh Harriott was left paralyzed by a stray bullet fired outside her home. She faced the accused shooter in court two years later. No one knows if she forgave the accuser.
