World’s Most Expensive Burger Sells for $1,770
The world’s most expensive burger goes for $1,770 in a restaurant in London dubbed the “Glamburger” and wait until you see what’s in this meal.
The meat for this burger is made with 220 grams of Kobe Wagyu beef mixed with 60 grams of New Zealand venison and seasoned with smoked Himalayan salt.
The world’s most expensive burger is then served with a Canadian lobster poached in Iranian saffron topped off with maple syrup coated streaky bacon, Beluga caviar and a hickory smoked duck egg intricately covered in edible gold leaf.
After the gold leaf and other ingredients, the “Glamburger” is seasoned with a Japanese matcha, cream mayonnaise and another coating of gold leaf. The chef then drizzles the mango and champagne sauce on top with pepper and grated white truffle. But if you’re on a diet, you may not want this meal, because it’s one of the most fattening.
The “Glamburger” contains a whopping 2,618 calories. If you’re in London, you can have this burger at a place called the Honky Tonk restaurant. Just ask for head chef Chirs Large to create one for you.
Chris Large talks about how he created the world’s most expensive burger:
“After sourcing the best possible ingredients to create this masterpiece, the winner will certainly have a dinner to remember.”
However, there is some confusion about this finding because according to Guinness World Records, the most expensive burger actually sells for $5,000 and is prepared by Juicys Foods and Ovations Foodservices in Corvallis, Oregon. The burger weighs 777 lb and is available for ordering with 48 hours notice for preparation time. This is much more beef and cost than the Glamburger.
