Dick Cheney Heart Transplant -- No decision? Dick Cheney is still contemplating on a heart transplant and a decision could be near. The former Vice President had a pump implanted last summer, which he calls "a miracle of modern technology."
Cheney demonstrated that while he has lost weight, he has not lost his trademark edge and propensity for sharp partisan commentary.
"I haven't made a decision yet," Cheney said of the transplant. "I'll have to make a decision at some point, whether or not I want to go for a transplant. But we haven't addressed that yet."
The former Vice President, speaking to NBC News, switched the subject to President Barack Obama. Cheney reiterated his statement that Obama will be a one-term president and questioned his commitment to preventing a terrorist attack.
"I think his overall approach to expanding the size of government, expanding the deficit, and giving more and more authority and power to the government over the private sector is a lack of -- sort of a feel for the role of the private sector in -- in creating jobs, in creating wealth and getting our economy back on track," Cheney said. "Those are all weaknesses, as I look at Barack Obama. And I think he'll be a one-term president."
