Lauren Conrad has bought a home in Los Angeles for $3.74 million in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. The Hills star turned fashion designer purchased the six-bedroom, five-bathroom home in one of the most affluent areas.

The two-story home is just 15 minutes from the beach and has 4,300 square-feet of living space. It also includes a basketball court and new kitchen.

The house was remodeled by Jeff Lewis, the celebrity interior designer from the Bravo reality series Flipping Out. Conrad will be the latest Hollywood star to call Brentwood home.

Old school stars Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Temple and Joan Crawford used to live in the sun-kissed neighborhood on Los Angeles’ Westside.

Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner now reside in Brentwood, as does Reese Witherspoon and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Conrad first gained prominence on the MTV reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County in 2004.

In 2006, she received her own spin-off series The Hills that followed her pursuing a career in the fashion industry.

The popular show displayed her falling out with friend Heidi Montag, as Montag increasingly spent time with her acerbic boyfriend, Spencer Pratt.

Conrad left the show in 2009 with her final appearance at Montag and Pratt’s wedding.

Since then she’s written three books, including a New York Times bestseller, and launched two clothing lines.

Conrad recently debuted the spring 2013 lookbook for her clothing line, Paper Crown.
