Rosie O’Donnell, Olivia Newton John House Deal

Rosie O’Donnell was originally looking for a property to purchase for her mother, until she saw the estate owned by Olivia Newton-John. The house is located in Florida and the sale is pending the results of a property inspection.

Until then the deal is not finalized, but that seems to be a minor concern as the talk show host and her wife Michelle Rounds reportedly adore the place.

The purchase price is $5.6 million. The interesting/coincidental thing about the transaction is that both stars have played roles in a version of Grease. Albeit different characters, it’s still a neat connection.

Newton-John of course played the leading female role of Sandy in the original Grease movie. O’Donnell played Rizzo in the 1994 Broadway rendition of Grease.

Newton-John’s husband, John Easterling, confirmed the deal is in the works but added: “Nothing’s done until it’s signed, sealed and delivered.”

O’Donnell, who has four children from previous relationships, sold her Miami, Florida, mansion in June for $16.5 million.

Last year the comedian credited Michelle, with whom she adopted a baby girl, Dakota, last January, for saving her life after she had a heart attack in August 2012.

O’Donnell previously revealed: “She gave me an aspirin, thank God! The doctor [said it was] vital to me staying [alive] through the night, because I didn’t go to the hospital right away and I should’ve.”
