Secret Blackwater Tape

Secret Blackwater tape might not be all it’s hyped up to be about Erik Prince. A few media outlets claim they have a secret audio recording that contains 3,500 words made by Prince. It is a rare item because the Blackwater owner has always tried to ban journalists from his public speeches.

Blackwater has dealt with a lot of controversy during the past five years. Erik Prince is the reclusive owner of the special operations company. He rarely gives public speeches and when he does he attempts to ban audio recording and videotaping.

One media outlet claims they have obtained an audio recording of a private speech by Prince. The speech provides a stunning glimpse into his views and future plans. It also reveals specific details of previously undisclosed activities of Blackwater.

In the speech, Prince proposed that the US government deploy armed private contractors to fight “terrorists” in Nigeria, Yemen, Somalia and Saudi Arabia, specifically to target Iranian influence. He expressed disdain for the Geneva Convention and described Blackwater’s operations at four Forward Operating Bases he controls in Afghanistan. Prince also claimed that Blackwater took down the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at President Bush.

Most Americans feel they have a right to know what’s going on behind these private speeches. The Taxpayers are paying the bill to keep Blackwater in business. In fact, 90 percent of it’s revenue comes directly from the United States government.

Journalist Ban

Prince is trying to ban all media when he speaks at DeVos Fieldhouse on May 5. He is the keynote speaker for the “Tulip Time Festival” in his hometown of Holland, Michigan. He told the event’s organizers no news reporting could be done on his speech.
