Bubba Watson left a huge tip at a Waffle House after winning the Masters, proving once again that he’s the people’s choice among professional golfers. Watson recently won another green jacket in the 2014 Masters Tournament.

The golfer hit an Augusta Steak & Shake for shakes around midnight, then followed that up with the Waffle House visit.

Bubba Watson At Waffle House

Watson left a $24 tip at Steak & Shake and a $148 tip at the Waffle House. Generous, but then again, he’d just won $1.6 million a few miles up the road. He can probably afford it.

Watson blended in with the Waffle House clientele so well, the waiter wasn’t even aware he was serving the Masters champ until after the meal when he was asked to be in a photo with the group.

Tip Surprises

The Watson tips show just how generous the guy is, and he clearly likes surprises. Watson made an unannounced visit to the Golf Channel studio in “true Bubba style,” according to his manager, Jens Beck. So, what did he eat at those restaurants?

The man enjoyed a Caesar salad, grilled chicken breast, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, macaroni and cheese, cornbread and confetti cake with a side of vanilla ice cream for dessert.

A little less extravagant than past Masters winners, surely.

And perhaps a little more down to Earth.
