Miami Hurricanes have dedicated their football locker room to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. On Friday, the college’s athletic director, Blake James, gave reporters a behind-the-scenes Johnson tour of their athletics center.

The tour included their locker room, which was dedicated to “The Rock,” due to his and his ex-wife’s $1 million donation to the University to support their football facilities’, renovations in 2007. Their donation was the largest ever given to the Miami’s athletics department by a former student.

In April Johnson received the Edward T. Foote, II Alumnus of distinction award from the University of Miami Alumni Association. This award is given to alumni who have been successful in their field or have made a significant impact through community service.

“It is important to give back because Miami has made me into the man I am today…taught me about hard work, discipline and sacrifice, but most importantly how to lose graciously and win graciously and humbly,” Johnson said in April at the award ceremony. “So I went from that kid…to receiving this award.”
