Washington Redskins star rookie QB Robert Griffin III returned to full practice on Wednesday as the team battles for both a playoff spot and division title with two games left.

“I’m ready to play whenever they want me to play,” Griffin said. “So if it’s this week, next week, next couple of weeks. Whatever they say goes, so I’ll be ready.”

Griffin sustaining a leg injury that looked much worse than it turned out a week and a half ago.

Coach Mike Shanahan said doctors will see how Griffin’s knee responds to the practice, particularly as to whether there’s any swelling when the rookie shows up at work on Thursday.

“Hopefully, they’ll look at it tomorrow and tell us it is full-go,” Shanahan said.

Backup rookie QB Kirk Cousin’s filled in admirably for RG3, while he was out, leading the team to an overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens after Griffin left the game with the leg injury, then leading the team to victory last week over Clevleand Brown’s.

The Redskin’s sit in a three-way tie with the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East Title at 8-6. They are also in a 5 way tie for the last two wildcard spots for the playoffs. They have games left against Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

Robert Griffin III was also fined $10,000 from the NFL on Wednesday for wearing a Adidas sweat suit at the podium of a post game press conference after the game in which he left due to the sprained knee nearly two weeks ago. The NFL fined RG3, because the league has signed an exclusive rights deal with NIKE.

Griffin who has and endorsement deal with Adidas was caught earlier in the year covering up the Nike swoosh trade mark on his undershirt during pregame warm-ups. Later in the year he wore a grey shirt inside out to obscure the Nike logo in St. Louis.
