Apple sued by PC tablet owners who say iPads are overheating and they want something done about it.

Apple sued overheating iPads tablets. Apple iPads are overheating and do not live up to reasonable expectations, according to some tablet owners. Critics say the PC iPads often switches itself off and have accused Apple of fraud.

"The iPad overheats so quickly under common weather conditions that it does not function for prolonged use outdoors, or in many other warm conditions," court papers filed by iPad owners Jacob Balthazar, Claudia Keller and John Browning said. They claim to have been "misled into purchasing the iPad, unjustly enriching" Apple."

"Apple's concealment, misbranding, and non-disclosure were intended to influence consumers' purchasing decisions and were done with reckless disregard for the rights of consumers," the court documents state. The plaintiff's are seeking unspecified compensation, while also demanding class action status, which means they could represent a larger group of anti-iPad users.

Some tablet users are solving the overheating issue by putting their iPads into the fridge. These Apple tablets are not made to go into a household refrigerator, but it does seem to cool them down. Some critics blame the hot temperatures on the new batteries in the mobile computer device.
