Corey White was once the target of a Facebook murder for hire hit, but the 22-year-old has died from a fatal shot to his chest, just blocks away from where the conspirators lived.
His girlfriend, London Eley, allegedly offered $1,000 on Facebook for someone to kill Corey White. A co-worker, 18-year-old Timothy Bynum, took up the offer. Police were alerted about the incident, and the two conspirators were arrested last June.
Though Eley and Bynum were arrested and standing trial for the incident that didn’t stop someone from fatally shooting White. On Monday, hours after a hearing for the case, White was shot once in the chest. He was shot just a few blocks away from where he lived, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Back in May Eley had posted a message of, “I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father.” That was when Bynum responded, “Say no more … what he look like … where he be at … need that stack 1st.” Police say the murder is still under investigation, and don’t know if it is related to this case.
Homicide investigators said White got into an argument with the occupants of a brown car and a man got out of the vehicle and shot him. Eley and Bynum have been in jail since their arrests. Their attorney said on Monday’s hearing that his client was merely venting about an argument she’d had with her ex-boyfriend and had no intention of following through.Stay Connected
