Glee Actor Cory Monteith and his girlfriend Lea Michele were seen at Los Angeles International Airport last week after he completed a 30-day rehab stint.
“Sending out big love to everyone,” the 30-year-old actor tweeted. “Thank you for the continued support! It means the world to me!” Michele similarly expressed her gratitude for her fans’ well wishes and tweeted excitedly shortly afterward: “Today is a great day :) Love you all! Xo.”
Both actors looked low-key in jeans and shades, and an eyewitness told E! News that the couple was “smiling the entire time.”
Earlier this month, Monteith announced his decision to take a temporary hiatus from work in order to seek treatment for a substance addiction, his rep told Us Weekly in a statement. Fellow castmembers and other A-list stars showed an outpouring of support for his decision.
“Cory is a beloved member of the Glee family and we fully support his decision to seek treatment,” 20th Century Fox TV, which produces Glee, said in a statement. “Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return.”
On-screen and off-screen pal Mark Salling similarly praised Monteith for his decision to get help.
“It takes balls … to go through that publicly. Period,” the actor told Us in Las Vegas on Apr. 6. “It takes balls to go through that privately, but to go through it publicly like that — balls.”
Monteith’s treatment was completed on April 26, 2013.
