Hayley Turner found alive and safe after Michigan police thought the 18-year-old may have been abducted.

According to The Inquisitr, the FBI was involved during the search for Haley Turning soon before she was found alive. Authorities conducted ground and air searches to look for the teen. Then, someone called police and indicated that they saw a male and a female walking in the area around 4 am Friday morning.

Police said:

“The male was described as a white male, 18-24 years old, wearing brown khaki shorts and a blue shirt. The female was described as 18-24 with a red shirt, long, black, tight-fitting pants and shoulder-length dark hair. This is very similar to Hayley’s description and what she was last seen wearing.”

Monroe County Sheriff Dale Malone said in a Friday afternoon news conference that Hayley Turner was located in Ecorse, Mich., about two hours from where she disappeared in Bedford Township.

Authorities said the teen is currently at the Ecorse Police Department and investigators from Monroe County were en route to interview her.

Officials declined to comment on the circumstances of the teen’s recovery or whether any charges would be filed. Sheriff Malone did say that a tip led to the recovery of the cell phone belonging to Hayley Turner, which in turn led to the teen’s location.

Hayley Turner found alive is good news to those who were searching for the teen. The case started Thursday after the teen disappeared on Thursday after leaving her home to go to a video rental store.

On her way home from the store, Malone said Turner was on the phone with a friend when she told the friend that she noticed a man lying in the road and stopped to check on him.

Upon walking towards the man, Turner told her friend that the man had a gun and then the phone went dead, Malone said.

Police say the friend immediately called Turner’s father who located his daughter’s car within minutes. The vehicle was found running and unoccupied in the area of Dean and Crabb roads in Bedford Township, Malone said. Hayley Turner was nowhere to be found.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, launched air and ground searches for the missing teen.

Haley Turner found alive: Christie Turner, the teen’s mother, spoke at the new conference Friday morning and begged her daughter to come home.

“…Hayley, if you can hear me, please call us. Please call anybody. We just want you safely home. No questions asked. We just miss you. We love you. We just want you home,” Christie said.
