Hugh Hefner Apprehensive On Lindsay Lohan Photo Spread

Hugh Hefner Lindsay LohanHugh Hefner was a bit apprehensive on Lindsay Lohan photo spread and needed to be convinced that it was the right decision to make. However, everything fell into place and the Chief Creative Officer of Playboy Enterprises is happy with that decision, even if the photos were leaked.

“It really came as a surprise to me,” he acknowledged in an exclusive sit-down with E! News. “I kind of had mixed emotions about it initially, and then it turned into something bigger than life.”

Lohan’s first pictorial was less than flattering and not as polished as Hefner wanted. So, they had to shoot it for a second time, right before she was to head to jail.

Hugh never actually spoke to the 25-year-old actress directly about the second photo shoot.

“The pictorial and the concept for the pictorial came from me,” he explained. “She had done semi-nudes before. I wanted to do something that would be memorable. So what is more natural, since she is a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe, than do something that is a tribute to the red-velvet, Tom Kelley photo shot of Marilyn Monroe that was our very first Playmate?”

This was not the first time the actress re-created a photo shoot of Marilynn Monroe. In the 2008 Spring Fashion edition of New York magazine, Lindsay Lohan re-created Monroe’s final photo shoot, known as The Last Sitting, including nudity, saying that the photo shoot was “an honor.” Hugh Hefner remembers it very well.
