​Shallow Grave Off Freeway Found, Homicide Investigation​​

A shallow grave was discovered by a California Highway Patrol deputy off the 105 Freeway and local investigators are processing the scene as a homicide.

There is no word as to the identity of the victim found in the shallow grave off of the freeway. Police have not released any information on the description of the remains. There is a homeless encampment set up in nearby Downey.

Some reports suggest that the body was that of a man who appeared to be in his 20s or 30s. Traffic on the freeway slowed down as investigators looked into the case.

Sgt. Vince Rosario of the Downey Police Department told CBS News that the body was found at around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday.
