Two teens fall to death from a sixth-floor balcony in London while kissing shortly on Wednesday. The terrace where the teens were kissing is still under investigation and their names have been not been released yet.

On June 13, the Examiner reported that the young couple began kissing. One “witness of the accident revealed that the couple was trying to have sex. When the young man tried to lift the young woman, the move sent the pair tumbling over the radar and down to the ground 60 feet below,” the site said. The six-story balcony plunge killed both.

“This appears to be a tragic accident and our thoughts go out to the families and those that knew them,” police detective Shaun Carre-Brown said. Witnesses told local media outlets the young couple were spotted on the outside terrace kissing and “frolicking” for several minutes before they fell. Many said they heard a loud scream and then a loud noise.

The area where the teens fell to their deaths from the balcony now has a pile of flowers at the foot of Knights Tower. According to Opposing Views, that is the location where the two died.

Samson Oguntayo, 32, an events manager who lives in the neighboring Cornmill House, said he and his partner Blessing had seen the teens fall. “They were trying to have sex on the balcony, the guy was lifting the girl and putting her on the bannister, he kept on doing it,” he said. “He was putting her on there - they were going back and forth. You could see they were doing some really dangerous stuff.”

A group of friends stepped out on the terrace and noticed the two went back inside, but they saw them return about 10 minutes later.

“I don’t know if she slipped or it was him pushing forward that took them both over, it just happened so quickly,” she said. “I just can’t get the image out of my head. I thought it would be better today, but it’s not. I don’t know if what I saw will ever go away.”

The management company for the complex said the party was not considered rowdy and that there were no noise complaints before the teens fell to their deaths from the balcony. A witness who went to where they had fallen said it was obvious he couldn’t help them. Police received multiple calls about the tragic incident.
