Sarah Palin Attacks Obama By Calling Him ‘A Special Kind Of Stupid’ On Social Media

Sarah Palin attacked President Barack Obama on Friday afternoon from her Facebook page by calling him a “special kind of stupid” in the all-caps post. The former Alaska Governor declared “Enough is enough, Mr. President.”

Palin, who endorsed Donald Trump in January, said there is no “due respect” for the president “after pulling this stunt.”

“Exploiting a sick, evil, ideological-driven attack on Americans to further your twisted anti-Second Amendment mission is disgusting,” she explained. “Today you’re demanding an ‘explanation’ from law abiding gun owners, but not demanding the same from followers of Islam, the religion behind this terror? If the demented Orlando terrorist doesn’t represent all Islamic followers, then why do you insinuate he represents all gun owners? And why, after any shooting, do you always want to take away firearms from the innocent people who didn’t do it?”

Obama, in the wake of another mass shooting - this time in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday - renewed his calls for Congress to act on gun restriction legislation to prevent the next mass shooting from occurring. Omar Mateen, a U.S. citizen who was born to Afghan parents and pledged his loyalty to the Islamic State, rampaged through an LGBT nightclub last weekend, killing 49 people and injuring 53 more.

“This debate needs to change. It’s outgrown the old political stalemates,” Obama said Thursday of the gun debate after meeting with the families of the victims. “The notion that the answer to this tragedy would be to make sure that more people in a nightclub are similarly armed to the killer defies common sense. Those who defend the easy accessibility of assault weapons should meet these families and explain why this makes sense.”

Sarah Palin attacked Obama by calling him asinine and to do his job against Islamic terrorists.

“Forget your asinine gun control, do your job and engage in Islamic terrorist control. Yes, it’s a special kind of stupid to demand we explain ourselves. But if you really want them, get ready for our explanations,” Palin wrote in her post, which included a grayscale photo of a woman holding a gun with one arm and her baby in the other.

“15 million plus women have decided to own a firearm,” the caption reads in all-caps. “You might call it a woman’s right to choose.”

Arizona Sen. John McCain, who named Palin his running mate when he ran against then-Sen. Obama as the Republican presidential nominee in 2008, has also gone after Obama. He suggested Thursday that Obama was “directly responsible” for the Orlando massacre before clarifying.

“Barack Obama is directly responsible for it because when he pulled everybody out of Iraq, al Qaeda went to Syria, became ISIS,” McCain initially told reporters. “And ISIS became what it is today thanks to Barack Obama’s failures, utter failures, by pulling everybody out of Iraq, thinking that conflicts end just because we leave. So the responsibility for it lies with President Barack Obama and his failed policies.”

He later said in a statement, however: “I misspoke. I did not mean to imply that the President was personally responsible. I was referring to President Obama’s national security decisions, not the President himself.”
